Grants of up to £18,000 are available for small charities working in Yorkshire to tackle disadvantage and deliver sustainable benefit in local communities.

The Brelms Trust CIO is currently open for applications. Funding is aimed at registered charities that are based in Yorkshire and delivering projects that directly benefit Yorkshire communities.

What funding is available?

Grants of between £1,000 and £6,000 per year are available.

Funding can be awarded:

  • As a one-off grant

  • Or for up to three consecutive years

This means organisations can receive between £3,000 and £18,000 in total over three years.

The Trust does not provide 100% of project costs, so match funding from other sources is required.

Who can apply?

To be eligible, organisations must:

  • Be registered with the Charity Commission

  • Be based and working in Yorkshire

  • Deliver projects that directly benefit Yorkshire communities

  • Have an annual income of less than £300,000

Re-applications from previous grantees must wait 12 months after final monitoring and evaluation. Applications previously rejected must also wait 12 months before reapplying.

Priority is given to charities working at the heart of communities to tackle disadvantage and provide sustainable benefit.
