Forum Central, Leeds Older People’s Forum and Voluntary Action Leeds have joined forces to deliver the new infrastructure and representation contract for Leeds funded by Leeds City Council and the Leeds NHS Integrated Care Board (ICB).
We’re calling this the Doing Good Leeds Partnership.
The Doing Good Leeds Partnership aims to unite the strengths, values, and voices of our city’s Third Sector, and act as a neutral connector between Third Sector organisations, statutory partners, and communities to foster trust and collaboration. The Partnership will provide a single, accessible gateway for support, collaboration, and community action. Everything we do will be guided by our shared values of equality, inclusion and social justice.
Our colleagues and funders in Leeds City Council and Leeds NHS Integrated Care Board have been instrumental in shaping this partnership. We are grateful for their ongoing commitment and investment into Third Sector infrastructure for the city at a time of significant challenge.
Our Vision and Mission
A Leeds where every community is heard, every Third Sector organisation can flourish, and collective action drives a fairer, healthier, and more inclusive city for all. Our offer is articulated through a clear and joined-up mission:
The Doing Good Leeds Partnership unites the strengths, values, and voices of Leeds’ Third Sector to create a single, accessible gateway for support, collaboration, and community action; and a neutral connector between Third Sector organisations, statutory partners, and communities to foster trust and collaboration. Grounded in the principles of equity, inclusion, and social justice, we champion community power, amplify volunteering, and strengthen leadership across the sector so that every organisation – large or small – can shape a fairer, healthier, and more connected city.
Our areas of focus
- Making Support Easier to Access
We’ll create one clear route into our support services, making it simpler for organisations to find the right help. - Leadership and Representation
We’ll help make sure the voice of Leeds’ Third Sector is heard where important decisions are being made. - Partnerships and Collaboration
We’ll bring people, organisations and networks together, encouraging stronger relationships, shared learning and genuine collaboration. - Building Capacity
We’ll provide tailored support, advice and guidance to help organisations grow, strengthen their governance and secure funding, with a particular focus on supporting smaller and emerging groups. - Volunteering
We’ll continue to champion volunteering by making it as inclusive and accessible as possible, helping people connect with opportunities to contribute and make a difference.
What Happens Next?
The Doing Good Leeds Partnership officially starts delivering from 1 July 2026.
We have developed a joint delivery plan to shape how we work together through this period of change – but importantly – our people and teams will not change.
If you’re a member organisation you don’t need to do anything at the moment. Each of the three partner organisations has a different way of managing, maintaining and engaging with its membership – that offer to you as a member organisation will not change in the short term. We are looking at ways we can streamline this and make our engagement with organisations in the Third Sector simpler, more inclusive and more effective.
Over the coming months, we’ll keep you updated on our progress and share more about our plans, projects, website and communications. We’d love for you to be part of the journey as the partnership develops.
