Leading a small charity can be rewarding, but it can also feel isolating, particularly when navigating financial pressures, increasing demand and an ever-changing operating environment.
The Institute for Voluntary Action Research (IVAR) is offering a series of free online Leading in Uncertainty sessions, allowing leaders of small, UK-based charities to connect with peers, share experiences and reflect on the challenges they are facing.
A space for honest conversations
These facilitated sessions are designed to create a supportive environment where charity leaders can speak openly about the realities of leading their organisations.
Rather than focusing on presentations or formal training, the sessions encourage discussion, reflection and peer learning, helping participants gain new perspectives and practical insights from others facing similar challenges.
The conversations are guided by IVAR’s experienced facilitators, who have extensive experience supporting voluntary organisations across the UK.

The sessions are aimed at leaders of small, UK-based charities who would benefit from:
