Colleagues across West Yorkshire are invited to a free webinar launching a new guide to support employees and employers managing long-term conditions at work.

Thursday 12 March 2026
1.00pm to 2.00pm
Online (Microsoft Teams)

This session will introduce the Workplace Long-Term Conditions Guide and explore practical ways to support health and wellbeing at work.

The guide has been developed by the University of Aberdeen Business School and the Bradford District and Craven Multi-system Rehabilitation Service, drawing on feedback from around 240 people about their experiences of working while living with a long-term condition.

It explains:

  • How long-term conditions can affect work

  • What ‘reasonable adjustments’ mean under the Equality Act

  • Practical steps for managers and employees to work together confidently

  • How open conversations about health can support people to stay in or return to work

The webinar will demonstrate how the guide can be used in everyday workplace situations and highlight why supportive conversations about health and work matter.

Who should attend?

This session is aimed at:

  • People of working age living with a long-term condition

  • Managers and employers

  • Healthcare professionals and those supporting people to stay in or return to work

This work forms part of Healthy Working Life, a joint programme of the West Yorkshire Combined Authority and NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board.
