Thursday 15 January 2026, 12 midday till 1pm
Nearly all the reasons men experience early ill health are preventable, yet men are often less likely to seek help or access support early.
This lunchtime session offers a practical introduction to men’s health and wellbeing, led by Men’s Health Unlocked, and is designed to fit around the working day. Participants are encouraged to join with their lunch for an informal but informative hour.
The session will:
-
explore the factors that prevent men from being in the best possible health
-
highlight Leeds-based services that are addressing men’s health needs
It is aimed at anyone who wants to better support the men in their lives, including VCSE staff, volunteers, and community organisations.
Previous participants have described the session as:
-
interactive, welcoming and open, with no judgement
-
providing space to reflect on men’s health
-
delivered by knowledgeable and inclusive workers
The session will be delivered by Tobie Fawcett, Men’s Health Unlocked Link Worker (Barca-Leeds), and Lawrence Glyn, Men’s Health Unlocked Link Worker (Orion Partnership).
