It’s Christmas Eve in Victorian Leeds and Ebenezer Scrooge is as grumpy as ever. No twinkling lights, no festive cheer, just pure bah-humbug. A Christmas Carol returns to Leeds Playhouse this winter, bringing Charles Dickens’ much-loved story to the stage.
Leeds Playhouse is hosting a relaxed performance of A Christmas Carol, designed to be more accessible for young people and adults with learning disabilities.
Relaxed performances include small adjustments to the theatre environment to support audience comfort. This may include extra lighting, additional wheelchair spaces and the freedom to move seats if needed. There is also a relaxed attitude to noise in the auditorium, including both voluntary and involuntary sounds.
