Age UK Leeds are offering a new digital inclusion service to support older people in Leeds to access and manage their own healthcare online
From November 2020, they will be:
- Providing equipment to those most in need, and supporting people to use their own equipment
- Offering support from our passionate, enthusiastic and knowledgeable Digital Health Champion volunteers
- Enabling and encouraging the use of online healthcare services, e.g. video calling, using health apps
- Working with anyone over 50, who would benefit from becoming more digitally included
- Promoting the healthy use of technology, whilst demonstrating the wide range of potential benefits and accessibility features
- Working with local and national organisations to keep up-to-date with the latest developments in health & digital
- Ensuring that older people can stay connected and safe during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.
