Inspire North is delivering a Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Refresher training course for those who have already completed the initial MHFA qualification and need to renew their certification.
This half-day course is designed to help Mental Health First Aiders maintain their skills, confidence and ongoing membership with the Association of Mental Health First Aiders®.

About the course
This four-hour refresher course supports participants to:
• renew and strengthen their existing MHFA skills
• update knowledge of mental health support
• practise applying the Mental Health First Aid action plan
MHFA is an internationally recognised, accredited training programme that equips people to identify and respond to signs of mental ill health. The course takes a practical, skills-based approach and aims to reduce stigma while improving confidence in supporting others.
MHFA England recommends that Mental Health First Aiders complete a refresher every three years to keep their knowledge and skills up to date.
