Following the National Neighbourhood Health Guidelines, Forum Central has drafted a position statement and discussion paper which sets out a response from the Third Sector in Leeds.
The Third Sector in Leeds has always had a strong commitment to Neighbourhood Health, embedded within our strong relationship with communities. We are well placed to support this agenda and should form an integral part of local delivery planning.
Forum Central are supportive of the NHS’s focus on Neighbourhood Health and are committed to working with Third Sector colleagues, NHS and local authority partners to support delivery of Neighbourhood Health objectives in Leeds. Our commitment to Neighbourhood Health is predicated on NHS and system partners fidelity to the ambitions of the Third Sector strategy in Leeds. More work needs to be done with the Third Sector in Leeds to articulate how the NHS Neighbourhood Health model connects to existing Third Sector and community priorities.

Leeds Neighbourhood and Health Third Sector Position Statement
These paper summarise Forum Central’s stance on the NHS Neighbourhood Health model. Our position has been formed through our ongoing conversations with system partners, third sector reps and advocates and the wider third sector. Our position takes a positive view of transformational change, but is framed by an understanding of significant changes in NHSE and the Leeds Integrated Care Board.
We welcome feedback from our members and third sector organisations in Leeds on these draft papers.
