Forum Central is delighted to announce that Pat McGeever (Health for All) and Darren de Souza (Touchstone) have been appointed as the Third Sector Representatives on the Health and Wellbeing Board.
The Health and Wellbeing Board is the key body overseeing the Leeds Health and Wellbeing Strategy, influencing the commissioning of services and working to improve the health of people in Leeds.
Pat and Darren will use this opportunity to champion the work of the Third Sector within the board. Both Pat and Darren have extensive experience of working in Leeds’ Third Sector to tackle health inequalities and have developed strong partnerships across the sector.
Pat has worked in the Third Sector for 30 years and has been a longstanding champion of community led groups across the city.
Darren has worked in a range of health settings, including the Third Sector, primary care, community pharmacies, NHS acute trust. He brings a wealth of experience of bridging the gap between strategic and operational thinking.
