‘Time for Young People Leeds’ is a new service designed to deliver community-based early emotional and mental health support for children and young people in Leeds, with a particular focus on children and young people aged 11-25 who need support outside of school or NHS services settings.

This service is delivered by The Children’s Society, a national charity with over 140 years of
experience commissioned by NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (Leeds) and Leeds City
Council.

‘Time for Young People, Leeds’ is available for children and young adults up to 18 years old,
including care leavers and young people with special educational needs and disabilities up to age
25, as well as their parents and carers.

Emotional wellbeing and mental health means anything relating to feelings and how to manage them.

Time for Young People, Leeds, offers evidence-based therapeutic services for a range of common
mental health difficulties, including mild to moderate anxiety and depression. These include weekly wellbeing drop ins, one-to-one structured support, group work, wellbeing resources and
information, awareness raising and education, and support for professionals working with young
people.

Accessing the Service

The service currently has wellbeing drop-ins based at Hillside in Beeston, along with three local community venues in CATCH Harehills, Pudsey and Boston Spa. These sessions do not require appointments or referrals – young people are free to visit during our opening hours. For children under 13, consent from a parent or carer is required.

From the week beginning 18th November, the new Leeds central Time Service Wellbeing Hub will
open at 21 Wharf Street, Leeds LS2 7EQ with drop in provision, group based work and 1:1 sessions
taking place in the Creative Therapeutic Space. As a result of the new hub opening the drop-in provision currently ran from Hillside in Beeston shall cease at the end of December.

Please call 0113 517 8000 for information on opening times for accessing the hub and established community venues.

Would you like to visit the hub to better understand the service? Professionals and community
partners are welcome to arrange a time to visit – to make sure that staff can support your visit
please contact them via email [email protected] or telephone 0113 518 000.
