Researchers and people with experience of social care are coming together in Leeds to improve care for older people.

An event is taking place in Leeds city centre on Thursday 14 May 2026 (10:00 – 14:30) for people who receive social care, or who have experience of social care through a relative or friend.

The session is free to attend and includes catering.

Who is this for?

This event is for people who:

  • Receive social care themselves

  • Have experience of social care through a family member or friend

Social care includes support with daily living such as washing and dressing, either at home or in supported accommodation such as care homes. This may be paid for privately or provided by social services or a local authority
