Carers Leeds and Aspire will be hosting information sessions across Leeds. In partnership with Adult Social Care these sessions will give carers of a young person with learning disabilities the information they need to support the person they care for.

Carers Leeds Sessions

The sessions are available to carers of a young person who has a Learning Disability, is neurodivergent and/or has a complex physical health need. 

The dates for the sessions are:

  • Tuesday 2 July | 10:30am – 1pm | Bramley Day Service, Railsfield Rise, Bramley, LS13 3AA
  • Wednesday 10 July | 10:30am – 1pm | Potternewton Day Service, Potternewton View, LS7 2DW
  • Wednesday 17 July | 10:30am – 1pm | Rothwell Day Service, Holmsley Lane, Woodlesford, LS26 8RY

Aspire sessions

The sessions are available to carers of an adult who has a Learning Disability or is Neurodivergent. The session will look to help carers understand more about Supported Living.

It will focus on:

  • The assessment process
  • Types of accommodation available
  • How allocations are made
  • How funding works

The dates for the sessions are:

  • Wednesday 8 May | 10:30am – 1pm | Rothwell Day Services, Holmsley Lane, Woodlesford, LS26 8RY
  • Thursday 28 May | 10:30am – 1pm | Potternewton Day Service, Potternewton View, LS7 2DW

About the sessions

The sessions are open to all carers of young people who have a learning disability, are neurodivergent and/or have a complex physical health need regardless of whether those families access Aspire services.

Lunch will be provided. You may book a place for one other person to accompany you.
