The Move On Up Buddy Training from Purple Patch Arts is a creative and accessible online training course to help your participants feel confident to offer peer support to new group members. The training consists of 6 interactive videos and 4 quizzes, and individuals who complete the training will receive a Buddy certificate and ‘hints and tips’ leaflet. Purple Patch Arts is also offering some additional support to help organisations get started with the Buddy training. Staff members of organisations take part in an informational Zoom to find out more about the training, its content, and its intended outcomes (please note this would require a minimal number of 4 attendees, but do let us know if you are interested but would have less than 4 staff members attend, as we can organised shared sessions with multiple organisations).
Organisations can also arrange for Hannah and Róisín, the Move On Up team, to deliver an online Zoom session to their participants to explore ‘What is a Buddy?’, the first video of the training. The session will be interactive, creative, and accessible; it will introduce participants to the training and its structure and give them a chance to ask any questions.
