Walking on Together is a Leeds-based network which has recently formed with the intention of bringing people together to:

  • promote and champion walking in the city,
  • influence the walking environment at a strategic level,
  • provide a forum for partnership-working for organisations that are keen to support the pro-walking agenda in Leeds.

The network meets once every 8 weeks, with the intention of supporting the development of a walking strategy and action plan for Leeds.

If you’re involved in delivering work that encourages or enables people to walk, or you take an interest in promoting walking in Leeds, you’re very welcome to join the network. The network would love to hear more about what you do, whether it’s running walking groups or supporting local residents to take action to improve issues like street lighting and pavement parking in their area.

Please contact Sally Hall, public health improvement specialist, [email protected], or Gill Keddie, Active Leeds Development Manager, [email protected], to join the network or share your thoughts on walking in Leeds.
