Touchstone and Forum Central are bringing together more than 25 organisations and services for a free Mental Health Awareness Week marketplace event at Leeds Kirkgate Market on Wednesday 13 May 2026.
The drop-in event will run from 10am to 2pm and is open to members of the public, VCSE organisations, and health and care colleagues across Leeds and West Yorkshire.
This year’s Mental Health Awareness Week theme focuses on taking action to improve mental health and wellbeing. The event aims to help people explore practical ways to support their mental health, connect with local services, and find out what support is available in their community.
Visitors will be able to:
- Find out more about mental health support available across Leeds and West Yorkshire
- Speak with local organisations and support workers in an informal setting
- Learn about different ways to support wellbeing and mental health
- Explore community groups, activities and services
- Connect with organisations without needing to formally sign up or share personal information
The marketplace will include organisations supporting a wide range of needs and communities, helping people understand what support is available locally and how to access it.
Arfan Hanif, CEO of Touchstone, said:
“We are really excited to be co-hosting this Mental Health Awareness Week marketplace with our friends at Forum Central for the second year running. Events like this, that bring services together in an accessible one-stop-shop, are so important to the communities we serve. They offer a non-judgemental and inclusive space for people to have friendly conversations with support workers and explore the range of support available without feeling pressure to sign-up or share personal information.”
Mark Law Chair of Trustees, said:
The event is free and open to all members of the public and health and social care colleagues. Whether you are looking for support, curious about services, or just want to connect with people who care, you are welcome!
The event is free to attend and no booking is required.
