The risks for vulnerable groups during winter increase. To raise awareness of this and to increase understanding of services and support available for those most at risk Leeds Older People’s Forum and Public Health hosted a meeting for organisations who work with older people to share winter wellbeing information and resources.

The resources focus on:

  • Fall prevention
  • Home Plus Leeds – making homes safe, suitable and warm
  • Safety in the home
  • Mental health and social isolation
  • Access to food
  • Financial wellbeing

To access these messages view the slide deck: Winter Wellbeing Messages – 29.11.23 (slides). Please share these resources with your networks.

A video has also been produced by Leeds Public Health and Leeds City Council on how everyone can stay safe, warm and well this winter: winter wellbeing video.
