We were delighted to host the Health and Care Leaders meeting on 3 July 2023 in person. It was fantastic to feel the positive energy in the room, after so many Zoom meetings!
It’s the first time we have met in person since the pandemic struck and what a difference it makes to be together in a room together. A big thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to the conversations.
These sessions bring together third sector organisations and system partners to focus on the third sector. Our guest speaker was Phil Wood Chief Executive of Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust.
Phil spoke about pride in the long history of partnership working in Leeds. He affirmed the commitment of Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust (LTHT) to address health inequalities, the power of research and innovation in Leeds and the collective work on workforce to ensure the 22,000 people employed in the Leeds Health and Care system are well supported.
He also talked of the need to increase awareness and connections between LTHT staff and the Third Sector to increase the visibility of what the sector delivers in communities.
