Would your organisation be interested in hosting student nurses to develop their digital skills and promote good health in your community?

Leeds Trinity University has recently started to train student nurses. They have been working with Neoniq Training Solutions (Neoniq), a healthcare training company to develop digital placement opportunities. The placements are designed alongside the NHS to help healthcare students develop their digital skills. In their second year of the nursing degree programme the students undertake a 4-week digital placement. The focus of this placement is Population Health, Health Promotion, Social Prescribing and they will also explore behaviour change with Neoniq as part of the placement.

The intention is that a small group of students (up to 5) will work with a third sector community group over a four week (21 April 2025 to 16 May 2025) period to:

  • Identify a particular health and well being issue in the Leeds City Region.
  • Learn more about the role of the community group they are working with.
  • Work with a community group and its service users to explore what is already in place to try and help with the issue.
  • Work with the community group to produce a digital resource to help either raise awareness of the issue e.g. short video, social media post, digital poster, web pages or a digital intervention e.g. digital coffee morning, educational resource, digital poster, web pages.

The staff at Neoniq and Leeds Trinity University will provide support and help facilitate the placement.
