Synergi Leeds is building a Skills Library that will offer peer support and/or mentorship to community colleagues.
What is the purpose of the Skills Library:
The Skills Library is created as a community resource where individuals can offer their skills and mentorship with a time commitment decided by you.
Your skills and mentorship will help support grant holders, colleagues, and/or other members to reach their full potential and to recognize and grow the talent in the city.
What sort of skills we are looking for to populate the library:
- Building system networks
- Sharing of good practice
- Learning from others
- Writing interim progress/impact reports
- Writing bids
- Leadership skills
- Giving and receiving constructive feedback
- Building resilience
- Navigating spending/budgeting
- Creating a brand
- Signposting to funds to grow
- Understanding engagement processes
- Information governance
How will the Skills Library benefit the community?
- Help to further develop skills and knowledge through mentoring.
- Foster a collaborative and collective approach with Community Leaders to support our city and systems to sustain improvement.
- Share new ways of working and encourage creativity by learning and sharing our expertise, to inspire, innovate and empower our communities.
If I decide to contribute what happens to my data?
LYPFT will take responsibility to store your information safely and securely in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR). The Skill Library lead will share your name and contact details (email and/or phone number) to introduce a mentoring relationship. Your profile will be used to populate the skills library and would not be shared with potential mentees/peers. However, your profile would be referred to when a request is made for support.
You can decide to withdraw yourself from the library at any time without giving a reason, however if you decide to contribute to the library your information will be kept by LYPFT for three years thereafter a review will be conducted of the library’s membership, and you will be contacted for further consent.
