Leeds Older People’s Forum hosted the launch of the final report of the Leeds Neighbourhood Network Evaluation.  The event, attended by 40+ participants, heard Professor Chris Dayson from Sheffield Hallam University, look back over the last 3 years of research and pull out the key learning for us, including the importance of long term core funding and the importance of community based organisations to the health and care system.

Our keynote speaker, Rachael Loftus, Head of Regional Health Partnerships at the Leeds Health and Care Partnership set the scene highlighting the importance of community to move from coping to thriving. The video of Neighbourhood Network participants, volunteers and staff stole the show, particularly the member who has discovered their local Neighbourhood Network and now ‘it feels like living again’!
